How Does it Work?

Backed by a Master's Degree in English and Creative Writing, our editing team is equipped with the tools and experience to help you elevate your story to a state that's on par with industry standards.

Sounds Awesome! What now?

Sometimes authors aren’t ready for us yet or need services that we don’t offer. In order for us to determine whether or not we’ll make a good team, we need to see a sample of the project in question. We do this by evaluating the first 10% of your manuscript.
But this step isn’t just for us. It’s for you as well. You need to see what an edit from us looks like and gain an understanding of what working with us will entail. We do this by completing a sample edit of the first 1,000 words of your manuscript (on projects of 30,000 words or greater).
After we assess the sample of your manuscript, we’ll suggest a service we offer that is most appropriate for your manuscript. If you already have an idea of what service you’d like, no problem! This is your book. You’re in the driver’s seat.

Because there’s a lot of misunderstanding around the different types of editing, we use a specific naming convention for our editing services to better help you understand what’s involved.
